This little hide away, by the Tel Aviv university is a true gem for visitors. Hidden away in this magical garden you will find an exhibition of native flora of Israel and neighboring countries, side by side with plants from around the globe. At first when you walk in to the gardens, you'll mistakenly think that it's quite small, but as you start wandering around this quite expansive location, you realize it's much larger than you first imagined.

As well as a beautiful place to visit and learn about plants, this is a center of botanical education, research, and conservation of rare and endangered plant species. Visitors of all ages, and all sectors come together to enjoy the beauty of nature and learn about ecological phenomena and the secret lives of plants.
This garden is an outdoors class for students of the Tel Aviv University, and it supports researches of university faculty and students.
Today there are approximately 3800 plant species from Israel and the world and we bring you a selection of colorful photos, shot by the photographer and journalist Naomi Gattegno.
Don't miss this gem on your next visit in Tel Aviv.
